CASE Study #152 and Outside Lands Review and Photos

Yipppee, finally feeling like be crafty! I planned on getting a card or two made yesterday but I was just beat from 3 days of rocking out in San Francisco, which is always a blast!  First my card, so glad I decided to get one made for this week's CASE Study, I am almost out of time.  I have been playing with Lucy this morning and found this fun arrow and thought it would be great for my card, and then a touch of bling to finish it off.

I think I was channeling festive colors for my card, you will see once you get a peek at some of the photo's I took this past weekend....WARNING, this post is photo heavy!!
Friday was just amazing, Ashleigh sprinted for the rail as usual, at least one day of the 3 day festival we have to be on the rail, it is just tradition.  This year it was to be up close and personal for Paul McCartney and wow, what a show did he put on! For 3 solid hours too and never once out of breath, wonderful music and fabulous stories.  He opened up with "8 Days a Week" and I think all 65,000 fans were singing along! We had a blast all 3 days, we saw Nine Inch Nails (one of my favorites), Red Hot Chili Peppers and Hall & Oats and so many more bands.  This was our third year going and we are looking forward to next year too. We have so much fun trying to guess who the head liners will be each year, so we will have to see if they are thinking the same as us, fingers are crossed.  So now on to all the photos....Thank you so much for taking time to stop by and peek at my card....have a wonderful week!

Freshly Made Sketches #95 and CASE Study #150

I have two cards for Friday to share with you...the first one is for this week's CASE Study, at first I was going to pass on this week's card but after seeing so many wonderful cards that keep popping up, I decided why not! I went through all of my stamps trying to find one that would work and there it was, an egg stamp from A Good Egg from Waltzingmouse Stamps and it is also a NBUS too! In fact the stamps I used for both of my cards are NBUS.

My second card is for Freshly Made Sketches...again I pulled out a stamp set that I have not use before, it is always fun to pull out stamps that you have had hanging around for some time, like getting something new! Thank you so much for stopping by to peek at my cards....have a wonderful weekend.  Stay tuned for my post tomorrow...I am going to an all day class at Scrapbook Territory - Amber from DamaskLove has so many wonderful crafty things for us and I can't wait!

CASE Study #148, Color Throwdown #249 and Seize the Birthday #20

Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July...mine was nice and quiet.  Spent the day crafting and watching movies with my family, Despicable Me and Brave, both very good.  Today we went to see Despicable Me 2, it is just as good as the first movie and lunch out at California Pizza Kitchen, so much fun.
My first card is a belated birthday card for sweet Darnell, I felt so bad that I forgot to send her a birthday greeting...so I have my card ready to pop in the mail tomorrow.  I am entering Darnell's card in two challenges, Seize the Birthday and Color Throwdown and you still have time to play along.

My next card is for this week's CASE Study and my sweet friend Tracey from In My Creative Opinion is their guest designer this month.  The inspiration card for this week is just beautiful and you still have plenty of time to play along, so why not join in the fun. Thank you so much for taking time to stop by and peek at my cards...have a wonderful weekend!

CASE Study #144

Happy Sunday...this is my last card for this weekend, it took 2 attempts to get my CASE Study card right but I am so happy with with the way it turned out.  This week's inspiration card is amazing (but they all are)!  I have not jumped on the "feather" bandwagon or trend. For some reason, they are not my thing but then I said the same thing about sequins and now I have a couple dozen colors!  So you never know, right?  So since I do not have any feather stamps to use I thought about what I could use in place of them and then it came to me in church this morning, I know that is kind of odd but I could see my entire card in my mind.  You would like angels so something else, not ice cream!  Thank you so much for taking time to stop by to peek at my card....have a great week!

ColourQ #191, CASE Study #143, Color Throwdown #244 and a fun surprise!

Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend...so far I am, I spent the afternoon in San Mateo at a jazz festive with my husband, the weather was just beautiful and a bit too hot to sit out in the sun all day, so we only stayed a few hours.  I was able to work a little on my tan too, LOL!  Once home I decided to make a couple of cards for 3 different challenges. My first card is for this week's ColourQ #191 and CASE Study #143, wonderful colors and fabulous inspiration card.  You still have time to play along too!

My second card is for this week's Color Throwdown #244, I have never played along with these talented ladies before, so fun.

My last project for my post is to share my brand new ribbon/button rack that my sweet hubby made for me...I was so excited to have this new addition for my craft room and have so many of my supplies at my finger tips.  Dwight made one for my sweet friend Joyce last year as a birthday gift and I am been so excited to finally have one of my very own. It did not take too long to fill it up either.  I was sure I had enough ribbon to fill several of the shelves but that was not the case, looks like I will need to do a bit of shopping now! Thank you so much for taking time to stop by to peek at my cards today...have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

Congrats on Your New Home

Happy New Year! I thought I would start the new year off with a card for one of my close friends.  She has had a difficult year and just moved into a new home; what a great way to start off the new year, a new beginning for her and her daughter.  This is the first card I have made where I used one of my Cricut cartridges.  It was so much fun, I'm going to have to take a closer look at what I have for future cards.
This is also my first card for the CASE Study card challenge, challenge #71.  Thanks for taking a peek!
This is the inspiration card...just beautiful
