ColourQ #351

Hello....Happy Tuesday! Today there is a beautiful new color palette at ColourQ #351, I hope you will find some time to play along with us. These colors are just so beautiful and I loved playing with them.  I pulled out PTI's Fancy Tea Cup die and backed it with some shiny gold card stock. I love these painted flowers from PTI and thought they would look pretty sitting in the tea cup.

I have been spending a lot of time sewing and not too much time playing with cards. I found this wonderful handbag pattern online and just love it. It is fun to make, learned a few new techniques too. I cut out quite a few, went through 10 yards of interfacing if that gives you some idea of how many I am making. Most of them are in Disney fabric but I have a few that are not. What do you think?

Our Outside Lands wrist bands arrived today....so excited to use real bathrooms this year, we splurged and got VIP passes this year!

ColourQ #303

Hello....hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. I was gone all weekend, so once again bear with me in getting caught up on commenting. My daughter and I were in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco at the Outside Lands 3 day music festive with 210,000 other music fans. This was our 5th year attending and we had a blast, but was always do. We saw Mumford and Sons, Black Keys, Sam Smith and Sir Elton John...oh my goodness what a show. Elton John was incredible, over the top fabulous! He was worth the price of admission. We walked over 30 miles for the 3 days, ate more yummy food than I care to admit, played Jenga with the Rock Medicine doctors and did way too much people watching...you would not believe all extremely interesting people we saw. But so much fun and can't wait to do this again next year.

Love the windmills....they light up at night
Milk and cookies make a yummy lunch right?
Polo grounds....see the row of porta potties? They bordered both side of the polo fields and at all the other stages, my guess is there must have been hundreds of them. And believe it or not...they were kept clean and fully stocked with seat covers and TP

Friendly game of over sized Jenga with the Rock Medicine doctors

Gotta love this guys dill pickle boxers!
 Selfie before Elton John
Elton John...what a talented musician!

Here is my card for the new challenge at ColourQ #303 and the colors just scream fall to me so I pulled out some NBUS and went right to work.  I used SSS Giving Thanks. I hope you will find the time to play along with us this week! I love seeing your fabulous cards.

I am also entering my card in the challenge at SSS - Tie It Up. Thanks you so much for taking the time to stop by....enjoy your week!

ColourQ #254 and Outside Lands

Hello and Happy Tuesday! It seems like forever since I have posted a card and played around in blogland. Every year my daughter and I go to the 3 day rock music festival in Golden Gate Park called Outside Lands so that is why I have been missing the last few days. I still have time off before school starts so I will get caught up soon.
My card is a bit late today...this weeks colors from ColourQ challenge #254 are so beautiful don't you think? So bright and so many possibilities, hope you will find the time to play along this week.

Have to share a few photos from our fabulous weekend...so many great bands, so little time and about 80,000 other people to hang out with each day. We walked an average of 10 miles each day, one of the things I love about this festival, lots and lots of walking so we can eat the yummy food. The food was wonderful...fried pickles from the Frickle Brothers and fried Brussels Sprouts from The American Grilled cheese kitchen were my favorites of the weekend. This was the first time in the 4 years we have gone, we had 2 days of actual sunshine and warm weather making for the perfect long weekend. We saw Arctic Monkeys, Tom Petty and the Killers, they were all amazing...looking forward to next year and trying to guess who will be there. Thank you so much for taking time to stop by....enjoy your week!

CASE Study #152 and Outside Lands Review and Photos

Yipppee, finally feeling like be crafty! I planned on getting a card or two made yesterday but I was just beat from 3 days of rocking out in San Francisco, which is always a blast!  First my card, so glad I decided to get one made for this week's CASE Study, I am almost out of time.  I have been playing with Lucy this morning and found this fun arrow and thought it would be great for my card, and then a touch of bling to finish it off.

I think I was channeling festive colors for my card, you will see once you get a peek at some of the photo's I took this past weekend....WARNING, this post is photo heavy!!
Friday was just amazing, Ashleigh sprinted for the rail as usual, at least one day of the 3 day festival we have to be on the rail, it is just tradition.  This year it was to be up close and personal for Paul McCartney and wow, what a show did he put on! For 3 solid hours too and never once out of breath, wonderful music and fabulous stories.  He opened up with "8 Days a Week" and I think all 65,000 fans were singing along! We had a blast all 3 days, we saw Nine Inch Nails (one of my favorites), Red Hot Chili Peppers and Hall & Oats and so many more bands.  This was our third year going and we are looking forward to next year too. We have so much fun trying to guess who the head liners will be each year, so we will have to see if they are thinking the same as us, fingers are crossed.  So now on to all the photos....Thank you so much for taking time to stop by and peek at my card....have a wonderful week!
