One card for Sunday...

Well the weekend is just about over and I have one more card to share for the day. This one is for the current challenges over at Retro Sketches #107 (have not played along with them in a while and love this weeks sketch) and CASology #87.  Not that I really needed another wedding card, don't go to many weddings anymore, I guess that is one of the things that happens when you and all your friends get older but with this week's cue card at CASology "Blush", what else could I make.

This past week I celebrated my birthday and some time back Joyce from Cards-by-the-Sea came up with this brilliant idea "husband kits". There are 4 of us in our group and we made a kit for one husband/children and this way we receive cards for birthday, Mother's Day and so on. It is an amazing idea and so far we are all loving it. Cathy from Empty Nest Crafter sent to my sweeties...the cards are just amazing and it was so much fun to actually receive cards this year from my family, thank you so much Cathy!
I also wanted to thank my sweet and wonderful blogland friends for taking the time to send cards and wish me a happy birthday...I am so blessed to have so many amazing friends...you are the BEST!

I also wanted to share a photo of this sweet Golden Story book that my sister gave me for my birthday, it has been re-purposed into a water color book with special paper inside. Cinderella is my favorite of the Disney princesses so the book will sit with the rest of my Cinderella trinkets. Here is the link to the wonderful lady who made my book....Tangie Baxer & Co.

My husband went fishing again this past week and I had to share the photo of his latest catch, it is just amazing!  It measured 58 inches long and weighed over 50 pounds. Good thing we love to eat fish!

Thank you so much for stopping by...have a wonderful week!

ColourQ #194, CASology #49, and just for fun!

I have 3 cards to share today, I made them yesterday but ran out of time to get them posted.  My first card is just for fun.  I used to scrapbook a lot (now I use Project Life, so much easier for me to keep up with) and when ever I would go shopping for supplies, Ashleigh felt she needed supplies too.  Our favorite little store seemed to have far more stamps in it than anything else, that should have been my clue, right?  She would always pick out something for me from her, so I now have a fun collection of Disney themed wood mounted stamps. I don't have the heart to get rid of them, they have so many fun memories.  My two favorite stamps are of Cinderella, my favorite Disney princess but since I DO NOT color any stamped images, I figured they would never see any ink. I recently learned about water coloring, so I pulled out Cinderella and dusted her off, stamped her in VersaMark and heat embossed in black and went to work.  This is what I came up with.

My second and third cards are for challenges, CASology #49 and ColourQ #194.  Both of these cards were quick and fun to make.  The "cue" card for this week's CASology is Fish, what a fun theme, right?  I knew I had just the stamps to use.  Years ago, my sister and I took some stamp classes in Elk Grove at a wonderful little store and one of the cards we made used these fun fish stamps from A Muse Artstamps. My sister was sweet enough to pass these fabulous little guys on to me and I am so happy she did!

My final card is for ColourQ #194 and I went with a summer theme after seeing the inspiration colors, so beautiful and perfect for this time of year.  I used Debbie Olson's card she made here as my inspiration to go with the colors too,  she is one incredible lady and so talented! All I really did was change up the colors and the theme, why reinvent the wheel!  I also found this cute little starfish in my stash so add a bit of fun!
