Mickey and Minnie

Hello...popping in for a quick post featuring Minnie and Mickey Mouse. One my dear sweet friends is celebrating her birthday this week and she is a huge Disney fan (maybe just a smidge more of a Disney lover than me, hard to believe right!). I love these sweet dies from Hobby Lobby, so fun to play paper dolls with. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink - Birthday Bash Sentiments.
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...enjoy your week!

WP9 Mood Board #20, Waltzingmouse Fanatics #1 and just for fun...

Happy Saturday...hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! I spent the morning stamping and card making with my mom, so much fun but just like stamping with any friend, we end up spending more time chatting than card making.  My mom finished several cards and I stamped some backgrounds using the PTI Guide Lines set, will show those another day once I finish the cards.

My first card is for this week's WP9 Mood Board. I love the red white and blue look to the inspiration card. I did not have any chevron dies and Joyce from Cards-by-the-Sea was sweet enough to send me some die cuts but then after playing with PTI's Guide Lines I came up with another idea.  Joyce was also sweet enough to send me some the new die cuts from WP9, so I used this adorable little crab instead.

Next card is for the first challenge for Waltzingmouse Fanatics, they have a new sketch every other week, and there is still plenty of time to play along. In my opinion Waltzingmouse has the best Halloween stamps hands down and ever since I received this adorable candy jar (thanks Jeanne), I knew mine had to be filled with eyeballs.

Final card for the day is a birthday card. My sister asked me to make a Disney themed birthday card for a 3 year old.  My first thought was make a princess card, once I was finished I realized this was not really a good card for a 3 year old so I started over and make a very cute baby Tigger card.  I was worried about getting it to her in time for the party that I forgot to get a photo, so sorry.  But I do have the princess card to share instead.  Thank you so much for taking time to stop by to peek at my cards....have a great rest of your weekend!

ColourQ #194, CASology #49, and just for fun!

I have 3 cards to share today, I made them yesterday but ran out of time to get them posted.  My first card is just for fun.  I used to scrapbook a lot (now I use Project Life, so much easier for me to keep up with) and when ever I would go shopping for supplies, Ashleigh felt she needed supplies too.  Our favorite little store seemed to have far more stamps in it than anything else, that should have been my clue, right?  She would always pick out something for me from her, so I now have a fun collection of Disney themed wood mounted stamps. I don't have the heart to get rid of them, they have so many fun memories.  My two favorite stamps are of Cinderella, my favorite Disney princess but since I DO NOT color any stamped images, I figured they would never see any ink. I recently learned about water coloring, so I pulled out Cinderella and dusted her off, stamped her in VersaMark and heat embossed in black and went to work.  This is what I came up with.

My second and third cards are for challenges, CASology #49 and ColourQ #194.  Both of these cards were quick and fun to make.  The "cue" card for this week's CASology is Fish, what a fun theme, right?  I knew I had just the stamps to use.  Years ago, my sister and I took some stamp classes in Elk Grove at a wonderful little store and one of the cards we made used these fun fish stamps from A Muse Artstamps. My sister was sweet enough to pass these fabulous little guys on to me and I am so happy she did!

My final card is for ColourQ #194 and I went with a summer theme after seeing the inspiration colors, so beautiful and perfect for this time of year.  I used Debbie Olson's card she made here as my inspiration to go with the colors too,  she is one incredible lady and so talented! All I really did was change up the colors and the theme, why reinvent the wheel!  I also found this cute little starfish in my stash so add a bit of fun!
