Dynamic Duo's #70 and Curtain Call - Sunflower Surprise and just for fun...

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend...mine was pretty quiet, made cards with my mom on Saturday and lunch with friends on Sunday and lots and lots of crafting time.  My card for today is for 2 challenges, Dynamic Duo's #70 and Curtain Call - Sunflowers...I am so happy that I had a sunflower set! I used last week's Muse card design to make my card, I fell in love with it but did not have the time to make a card to play with so I am using it now. My second card is just for fun. I love Halloween and one of Ashleigh's friends loves it as much as I do so I have to make a special card just for her.  The stamp I used is the only stamp from Wanda's Pantry that I have never inked up so it was fun.  I even had Ashleigh ink her fingers with VersaMark ink and put some red embossed powder to give the look of bloody finger prints (thanks Renee for the idea).  Hope she likes it. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by to peek at my card....have a fabulous week.

Freshly Made Sketches #95 and CASE Study #150

I have two cards for Friday to share with you...the first one is for this week's CASE Study, at first I was going to pass on this week's card but after seeing so many wonderful cards that keep popping up, I decided why not! I went through all of my stamps trying to find one that would work and there it was, an egg stamp from A Good Egg from Waltzingmouse Stamps and it is also a NBUS too! In fact the stamps I used for both of my cards are NBUS.

My second card is for Freshly Made Sketches...again I pulled out a stamp set that I have not use before, it is always fun to pull out stamps that you have had hanging around for some time, like getting something new! Thank you so much for stopping by to peek at my cards....have a wonderful weekend.  Stay tuned for my post tomorrow...I am going to an all day class at Scrapbook Territory - Amber from DamaskLove has so many wonderful crafty things for us and I can't wait!

Dynamic Duo's #58 and Muse #23

Two more cards to share today, the first one is for this week's Dynamic Duo's and you still have time to play along too!  This week's colors threw me off at first, not colors I generally use but I have to say that I am very happy with the way they turned out. I used Soft Cantaloupe ink from Hero Arts and Canyon Clay ink from PTI and I love how they look together.  I even added a few pearls to dress up my Folk Art Medallion from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  I would have bet money that I had a clear block big enough to fit this stamp and not only that I was sure I had used it before too, but no on both accounts so that is why my medallion is off the edge.

My second card is for this week's challenge over at Muse and Anita from France is they guest designer this week so I had to play along...you still have time to join the party over there too.  I fell in love with the soft and sweet colors she used along with all the wonderful sequins, just a beautiful inspiration card.  Thank you so much for stopping by to peek at my cards....have a wonderful week.

Colourq #189 and Muse #17 Challenges

I have two cards to share today that I made last night. I fell in love with the colors for this week's Colourq challenge colors, they all went together so well. In fact I had a dream about this card so it was easy to make. I really struggled on the size of the rooster and was sharing this dilemma with a sweet friend of mine and it became a PG-13 or R rated conversation and had me on the floor laughing! I will not share the story but will say it still has me giggling.  It was so excited to see that I actually had the right color ink too, Coral Calypso from SU, so fun to match.

My second card is for Muse and the inspiration card by Therese Calvird, it is just too sweet with her adorable elephants standing on top of one another. When I saw her card it reminded me of these cute little elephant stickers that have been floating around my craft room for many years. I was not sure what to do with them but they were too cute to toss. Thank you so much for taking time to stop by and peek at my cards...have a wonderful day!

Waltzingmouse Stamps Flower Show

Waltzingmouse is having a flower show! It started last Friday on the 19th...Claire had an amazing group of extremely talented ladies make cards using any of the WM flower sets, and wow...these cards are just beautiful.  The challenge is to find a card from one of their blogs that you like and CASE it, not too hard, right?  Thank goodness my sweet friend Joyce from Cards-by-the-Sea got me hooked on flowers or I would not have had any to play with...I have to admit I resisted flowers for a long time and now I am having more fun playing with them.
I went through their blogs a few times before I decided on which card to make. I chose one that Meredith from A Delightful Waste of Time made and made just a few very minor changes based on the supplies I had on hand.  I even learned a new technique while making my card and that is always a nice bonus to have. I loved how sweet and soft the colors of Meredith's card are and tried to get close to that same look.

Waltzingmouse Monday Morning Make - DIY Washi Tape

Waltzingmouse is now doing some weekly challenges called Monday Morning Make and this week is learning how to make your own Washi Tape. It was not as hard as I thought it would be...I have been in a orange mood so I made my card for Halloween. I colored my tape bright orange and then stamped some Halloween greetings in black, waited for it to dry and put it on my card.  It still needed something so I added a large orange button and a little bling.  This was so quick and easy to do and you can make your Washi Tape to coordiante with any card design you like without have to go to the store. Fabulous idea Claire!
Thanks for stopping be to take a peek at my card...have a fabulous day!

Paper Smooches Picture Perfect Challenge

I just love the color orange and for so many reasons, it's so bright and cheery, it always brings a smile to my face, it happens to be the colors of my favorite major league baseball teams, the San Francisco Giants and  the Baltimore Orioles, oranges are yummy to eat and good for you and so many more! So when I saw this weeks Paper Smooches challenge, I just has to play. I was inspired by Marybeth's card, you can see it here, this adorable little kangaroo is just so cute and thought she would look so sweet all done up in orange, plus I am not one to color so this is the closest I will ever get.  Thank you so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card, enjoy your day and the Super Bowl for those who watch it. I don't so it another day of crafting for me.

So far today has been my favorite lesson...I fell in love with the first video of the day from Jennifer McGuire, it was easy to do and turns out just beautiful. Day 3 of class and I was on time again, in fact class was late today by 11 minutes, so no demerits for me.  I did not have everything for this card so I just made due with what I had on hand. I have a few stamps that you can use to make backgrounds but I have to be honest I rarely ever use them, that is until now. The possibilities are just endless! Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a peek of my card....it was so much fun to make!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #129

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge

Can you believe it, this is the final weekly sketch challenge with Waltzingmouse, I love this challenge and try to participate as often as possible.  I love the sketch ideas and need to get some of them pinned for future use, you know those times when you sit down to make or project and your mind goes blank...I love looking at the sketches I have pinned for inspiration.  I went through my WM stamps and wanted to use one that I have not played with in a while and My Island was it.  I love this stitched rectangles from Lil Inkers and have been using them every chance I get.  For the buttons, I remembered while making the card that Joyce from Cards-by-the-Sea had sent me these amazing wooden buttons quite some time ago, I knew one day I would find the perfect card for them.  You still have a few hours left if you would like to make a card the the final WMS challenge.  Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek!

Four of a Kind - October Edition

October is my favorite month and Halloween my favorite holiday.  I spent most of the summer collecting goodies for my kits, most if it being black and orange too. Can't go wrong with those colors! I have had my cards ready for some time and hoped to get a few more made but got some pesky bug...at first is was just more annoying than anything else but now it has kicked my butt, so my post will be short and sweet.  So sorry about that but I did not want to let the other wonderful ladies in my group down, I know they have worked hard and have some incredible goodies to share too.

I wanted to add candy eyeballs to my jar but Target did not have any and I did not have time to run around looking for them after I got this bug.  The good thing is that there is still plenty of time before Halloween arrives.
Funny story about this card...I was not sure what I was going to do with it so I went ahead and stamped the sweet witch and her cauldron on the orange houndstooth and added the black pearls for the bubbles...set it a side for a bit then decided to use a die to cut her out and did not even think about the pearls! I figured they were ruined, but when I took the top piece of plastic off I saw that they were just smashed and now it really looked like a bubbling cauldron. I love it when mistakes turn out good.
I can't remember if this is Cicely or Gracie, but both of them are just so sweet...thanks Renee for letting my borrow your stamps! I need to add both of these sets to my collection.
I love tulle and decided to include some in my kit, Joyce thought I had send some black silk stocking, that might have worked too.
Treat or Treat is under the pull tab...

Be sure to head over to see what Renee, Cathy and Joyce have created.
