Just for fun....

Hello...another quiet day at home. My hubby is out fishing again and daughter still in her adorable Mickey Mouse pj's watching Peter Pan...so fun! I did a bit of cleaning in my craft room today, some major clean up and reorganization, it really felt so good. Not much got tossed out but I am happy with the results for now at least.  I finished up a bunch of little projects sitting on my desk too and that is where this cute little card box comes in.  During last month's PTI blog hop, Irma from Craftmates made these fabulous cards and even more amazing little boxes filled with note cards. She included the link to Jennifer McGuire's tutorial on how to make these and you can see the video here. She uses the We R Memory's Envelope Punch board that I have had sitting on my book shelf for longer than I am willing to admit. So I finally dusted it off (and yes it did need a bit of dusting) and went to work.  So I finished up a set of Washi Tape cards and stuffed my fun card box and then added a bit of decorations and done!  Thank you so much for taking time to stop by...enjoy the rest of your weekend!

6 cards for Saturday...

Happy Saturday...hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend.  I spent the morning stamping with my mom and introduced her to Washi Tape, you would have thought I invented penicillin! She had a blast and so did I.  My sweetie found me this really cool collection of Washi Tape complete with dispenser at Costco for $20, I was complaining that I thought is was a bit pricey but both my mom and sister thought it was a great deal.  We had so much fun and finished up close to a dozen cards between us and then headed for lunch. Once home I made my purple card for this week's CASology...purple is not a color I really like or use much. Not sure why, just not my thing. I do know many people how love it and my sister is one for them, maybe I should have made this into a birthday card for her...hmmmm, might just have to make another one.  Thank you so much for stopping by to peek at my cards...have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

Merry Monday #51 and Retro Sketches #53

I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend...today I have two cards for three different challenges. My first card is a Disney themed one for Retro Sketches. My daughter and sister will be heading to Southern California for spring break soon and they will be staying with some sweet friends of ours while on their trip. They plan to spend a day in Disneyland with them and I thought this would be the perfect thank you card to use to thank them for letting stay at their home.

My second card is for Merry Monday...this is a challenge blog for Christmas cards and this is my first time playing along. This week's theme is tic tac toe, you can play in any direction. I choose the left side going down for my card. This was another quick and easy card to make and I have one more card to add to my collection so when Christmas is here again I will be ready to go.  Both cards will be entered in this weeks Simon Says Stamps challenge, Anything Goes too. Thank you so much for taking time to stop by to peek at my card....have a wonderful day!
