While working on this card I decided to play around with some dies I cut with my Cricut. I borrowed the Hello Kitty cartridge from a friend and so playing around with it. I made the card for one of the little girls in my summer school class, she has been an amazing help to me so far and I needed the perfect card to send her. I did find out though that Hello Kitty's nose is not black but yellow, I am sure she will call me on that but there was no way I was going to pull the card apart to put on a yellow nose, in fact I think the black nose looks better.

Two great cards Kim! Love the color combo on the first one. Pure Poppy and Berry Sorbet are one of my favorite combinations, but I hadn't tried them with Enchanted Evening. Looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your cards are really great. I love that Off Beat backgrounds set, as you know (ha ha), and I find so many different ways to use each of those stamps. Some, I still haven't used, and all of them easy to line up. I like how you have the perfect balance of each of the colors, and your red sentiment is just perfect. Your hello kitty card for your student is just darling, and I'm sure she will love it, black nose and all.
ReplyDeleteSuch great cards! So glad you decided to join us this week at the ColourQ, Kim!!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are fantastic! I really love those chevrons on your colourQ and those fantastic frames. The velvet bow is so sweet. Now of course who can resist Hello Kitty--so fun.
ReplyDeleteYou did a fabulous job on that chevron border in different colors!! (Loving that red wall in the background!)
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards. The chevron stripes look fantastic. And the Hello Kitty card is just too cute.
ReplyDeleteKim, when I was little I wanted Hello Kitty in my Easter basket every year, so that card hits a sweet spot with me! I have to try the vertically stamped chevrons- they look great!
ReplyDeleteYou've created two stunners here. I am enamored with the first card especially.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, Kim, I love the dies you used and the chevron stamp! Thanks for joining us this week at the CQC and sharing your card.
