Four of a Kind - October Edition

October is my favorite month and Halloween my favorite holiday.  I spent most of the summer collecting goodies for my kits, most if it being black and orange too. Can't go wrong with those colors! I have had my cards ready for some time and hoped to get a few more made but got some pesky bug...at first is was just more annoying than anything else but now it has kicked my butt, so my post will be short and sweet.  So sorry about that but I did not want to let the other wonderful ladies in my group down, I know they have worked hard and have some incredible goodies to share too.

I wanted to add candy eyeballs to my jar but Target did not have any and I did not have time to run around looking for them after I got this bug.  The good thing is that there is still plenty of time before Halloween arrives.
Funny story about this card...I was not sure what I was going to do with it so I went ahead and stamped the sweet witch and her cauldron on the orange houndstooth and added the black pearls for the bubbles...set it a side for a bit then decided to use a die to cut her out and did not even think about the pearls! I figured they were ruined, but when I took the top piece of plastic off I saw that they were just smashed and now it really looked like a bubbling cauldron. I love it when mistakes turn out good.
I can't remember if this is Cicely or Gracie, but both of them are just so sweet...thanks Renee for letting my borrow your stamps! I need to add both of these sets to my collection.
I love tulle and decided to include some in my kit, Joyce thought I had send some black silk stocking, that might have worked too.
Treat or Treat is under the pull tab...

Be sure to head over to see what Renee, Cathy and Joyce have created.

  3. Wow Kim! This is a seriously awesome kit! There are so many things to use in it, and I really love all the little sentiments and the black tulle! My favorites (although it was really hard to decide!) are the bat one with the tulle, and the witch silhouette stamped on the orange houndstooth. Love what you created, but hope you feel better soon :(

  4. I am so sorry you are sick Kim, hope you feel better soon, especially since I know Halloween is your favorite time of the year! You made such great cards, love the tulle around the eyeball tin and that spider web over the zipper card was so smart! You send a wonderful kit this month and so, so many great elements. I had the best time in Montana putting mine together. Great job, I loved it!

  5. Hi Kim,
So sorry to hear you're under the weather. Feel better soon!!
I love your cards - they are all amazing! The witch at the cauldron is amazing on the houndstooth . . . I have to ask, did you heat emboss that to get such a nice, dark and even image? Or is there a type of ink I need to try? I agree, the black tulle is a real wowzer! But they are awesome, every one!
    Hugs!

  10. So sorry you have been sick. And, I thought you would be celebrating and over the moon with how well your Giants have been doing. All your cards are wonderful, and I especially like your jar of eyeballs, even if the eyeballls are coming later. Super way to use the tulle--I feel I should have thought of that. I love how you have used a web and a spider on your zipper card. And, what a great story about the smashed pearls and the cauldron. All in all, it was such a wonderfully fun kit to work with--I now want all the WM Halloween sets for myself. Thanks again so much.

Each of your cards are gorgeous, for some reason I am loving the WMS poem cards . Love what you have done with the tulle, just so pretty. Get well soon!
