The 12 Kits of Occasions - April 2014 Edition

Wow...the end of April is already here, that means it is time for the 12 Kits of Occasions post and wow, what an amazing kit! Our fabulous hostess this month is Jeanne from A Kept Life and I am quite sure everyone knows who she is and have seen her wonderful and creative cards. Her kit was like crafting supplies on steroids, every time I would look at the kit I would see something that I missed the time before. Jeanne's kit was filled with spring, literally...it was like an explosion of springtime right on my desk, I felt the need to take an Allegra just in case I had an allergy attack from all the beautiful flowers. I was one of the lucky ones this month and received the self-assembling kit, honest...I would leave the room and come back and find a card or two pretty much already made, it was like my supplies all fell into just the right spot. Enough chatting and on to my cards. Be sure to head over to our 12 Kits blog for a chance to win a May Kit...just leave a comment there about what what your favorite thing about the month of May is. And be sure to see all the fabulous cards made by the rest of the crafty ladies. You can also find a complete list of Jeanne's supplies there too. Thank you so much for stopping by...enjoy the rest of your week!

This card is for the current challenge at Retro Sketches #112

Two cards for Sunday...

Happy Sunday...hoping you are all having a wonderful weekend. Easter Break is now over so back to work tomorrow. I have had a fabulous weekend so far, I spent yesterday with 50 other crafty ladies, most scrapbookers at a 12 hour event. Needless to say I did not get much of anything done but I had a blast, spent most of my time visiting with friends and laughing, lots and lots of laughing.

My first card is for the current challenge at Fusion #8, love the look of chevrons and have been trying very hard to use the stamps I have on hand, so this set would qualify as a NBUS from MFT and was fun to use! It is always fun to go through what you have and find so many great stamps you forgot about. My second card is for this week's Papertrey Ink's MIM - Watercolor Splats.  My new daubers finally arrived and wow, they worked like a charm, so fun! Thank you so much for taking time to stop by...enjoy your week!

CASology - Garden #92, Colourq #238 and Papertrey Ink - April Blog Hop

Hello...it seems like it has been forever since I have made a card and written a blog post. This week we are off for Easter Break and have been trying to get caught up with a few other projects, cleaning and lunch out with friends and spending time with family. Last Saturday was Record Store Day, we were up at 5:30 and in San Francisco and in line by 7:00 (we were about 12th in line so not bad at all) and now the wait begins,4 long hours but once inside Amoeba on Haight Street and limited edition release vinyl in hand, it was all worth it to see the smile on Ashleigh's face.

Monday was a fabulous day...meeting up with Darnell and Harriet for lunch at the outlet mall in Livermore, so many fabulous stores. We ate lunch in their little food court and then back to shopping...once Darnell and Harriet saw the Ghirardelli store it was pretty much over, they were both in chocolate heaven. And here is a photo, can you guess who bought the most??? Now had we been in M&M world the story would be different, that is about the only chocolate I eat (give me candy corn or jelly beans). Once finished there we went to Talbots and what a hoot, these two ladies were trying to figure out how had the bigger boobs, and yes I did say boobs. At one point I was sure both Darnell and Harriet were going to lift their shirts! They are so funny.

And now on my cards...I have 2 to share with you. Both are for CASology (this week's cue card is Garden) and Papertrey Ink's Blog Hop - Embroidered Inspiration and 1 for this week's ColourQ #238 challenge.  I did not have any "stitching stamps" so I found some embroidered items on Pinterest for inspiration. Thank you so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your week!

Four of a Kind - April Edition

Hello, seems like it was just Christmas and now Easter is right around the corner and it is time again for our Four of a Kind post. This month was my turn to be the hostess and I have to say that even though this is my kit, I just love it. I love nothing better than meeting up with friends for a spot of tea and scones or getting caught up with an old friend over a cup of coffee. So I went with this theme for my kit and even threw in a little project, making a sweet tea caddy. I took a class from a SU rep and learned how to make them some time back, they make really sweet gifts filled with tea and a new mug.
This quarter we have a guest posting with us, Tracey McNeely from In My Creative Opinion...if you don't know who she is you have been living under a rock or on another planet, but I am sure most of you do know of her and her amazing CAS cards. Thank you so much Tracey for being part of our group this time around. Be sure to check out all the amazing cards at every one's blog, the links are listed below my cards.
I have 6 cards to share today and one is for the current challenge over at Retro Sketches. I have to share a sweet little coin purse that I made using these dies from PTI. Marybeth from Marybeth's Time for Paper was so kind to cut out a bunch of felt using her dies, I really think I could sit all day and stitch these little cuties up. The possibilities are endless and now I can wait for my dies and felt to arrive in the mail.
Thank you all so much for taking the time to stop by, enjoy the rest of your week and have a blessed Easter.

Top Dog Dies - Purse Card Die

Hello and happy Thursday! I have been waiting weeks to share this info with all of you, I am soooo excited! Meagan from Top Dog Dies emailed me back in February to ask me if I would like to be a Guest Designer for them...I will be honest and had to read it a few times to make sure it was real. I did not hesitate to reply either, I was over the moon excited! My dies arrived a few weeks later and I have been playing ever since!
Here is some info about Top Dog Dies....Top Dog Dies is a new online store that offers their own brand of wafer-thin and steel-rule dies, along with dies from brands you already know and trust, including My Favorite Things, Lawn Fawn, Taylored Expressions. Savvy Stamps and Cheery Lynn Designs. Top Dog Dies is also the leading U.S. retailer for Tattered Lace, a new line of intricate dies designed by British designer Stephanie Weightman.

I love Kate Spade handbags so I had to make a couple of those using this amazing steel rule die cuts with the sweet little handbag, flap and all! I will be making lots of these sweet little goodies! My final handbag was inspired by one I just purchased, I was looking for stripes but could only find polka dots in this color. All the accents for my sweet little handbags are from the Purse Card Finisher Dies.

Top Dog Dies Bella Doily Die

My final card is made using this beautiful lace doily from Top Dog called Bella Doily. What I really love about this die is that is cut so clean the first run through my Big Kick.

Be sure to head over to Top Dog Dies, they are having a guest designer giveaway the entire month of April, you can win $50 worth exclusive Top Dog Dies of your choice...here is the link to enter.
Meagan, thank you again for being so sweet and kind and for inviting me to be a guest designer for Top Dog Dies, it was a real honor!

One card for Saturday...

Yeah...it is the weekend! Before I tell you about my card I want to thank you all so much for following my blog, I finally hit 100 followers and could not be happier...you are all just the best! Thank you all so much.
I know Saturday is just about over but I was able to squeeze one card in today and plan to stay up late and make a few more to post later.  My card is for  2 challenges, ColourQ #236 and Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday #159 - No Sew Quilt Cards. When I saw this week's colors over at ColourQ I swooned...they are just so beautiful, so soft and sweet and make in my opinion the perfect quilt. I was inspired by this card that Danielle from Homespun with Heart made, it is so beautiful. Thank you so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
