Hello....popping in with one card for the new challenge at The Card Concept #73. When I saw this weeks inspiration photo I was really stumped, this is so totally not my style of card making, but knew I had to come up with something. One of the teachers I used to work with before she retired husbands passed away unexpectedly and needed a sympathy card and thought this inspiration would work. I hope you will find some time to play along with us. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...enjoy your day!
I used some pages from an old book from Italy for the frame. Thank you Joyce!
This is gorgeous! LOVING that butterfly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis may not be your usual style, Kim, but you've aced it! Gorgeous card and inspiring to those of us who find vintage out of their comfort zone (like me!) Fabulous!

ReplyDeleteI love your clean and simple lines. I've been scavenging for old books to buy so I can use the pages and this makes me want to find one even more. I really want to find an old dictionary! Well Done!
ReplyDeleteGosh, it might not be your usual style, Kim, but you made it so your own ... a lovely sentiment ... and a fabulous colour combination with the butterfly and book print! Hugs & bisous, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteI understand the dilemma in the photo, Kim, because I too and stumped but you pulled it off beautifully while keeping to your own wonderful style.
ReplyDeleteTruly stunning, love how you used the text x
ReplyDeleteEven though it's not your usual style you managed to step out of your comfort zone and make a truly beautiful sympathy card. I find those hard to do and I'm not sure I'd manage to make such a card in a style I'm not that familiar with. So great job! And I really love that blue color with Kraft and aged paper color.
ReplyDeleteI think you did fabulous with a card outside your typical style.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great take on that inspiration photo Kim! Love that beautiful butterfly with the kraft card-stock and print! Enjoy the rest of your day and have a great upcoming week! Luv & Hugs. Hazel xx
