Wood Block Wednesday

 

Hello....so excited to be sharing this card with you today. Inspired by Amy at Tsuruta Designs to pull out and dust off your wood block stamps! I pulled out one my favorites, Mickey Mouse from All Night Media. I don't believe they are in business any longer but I have lots of their Disney images and am looking forward to get them inky!

CASology - 5 Year Anniversary

Hello....popping back in with my card to celebrate CASology's 5 year anniversary. Their cue card is balloon so I pulled out my SSS Balloon dies and attempted to make a Mickey Mouse balloon. Most of you know that I am a huge Disney nut so what better balloon to put on a card! I have this 

wonderful little Disney set from Hero Arts/Kelly Perkey that I had to use with my balloon, so perfect since to me Disneyland is truly beyond magical in my opinion. We are heading there as a family in October and I can't wait to feel the magic in the park!

I know I have said this a million times but I love Halloween, really love it! And what's better than Mickey Mouse dressed up like Dracula? I was going through a few bins looking for things for school and found more of these fabulous Disney dies from Jolee's. I love the background, one that I learned from Ardyth last year at the Lake House. 

This week's colors for ColourQ #314 are fabulous and so perfect for this week. I know it shows green and there is a wee smidge of if at the top of of Mickey's trick or treat pumpkin. DoubleClick Skittles - Halloween

Hello again...one more project to share. I am still working on treat holders and this time I made a pillow box using patterned paper from Pebbles and pulled out my Halloween bin and found this fun Mickey Mouse dressed up and ready to do a bit of trick or treating. Just added a little Boo from Serendipity, and then added some sweet pumpkin pie skittles and done! That quick. Muse #7 and Moxie Fab Washi Tape Challenges

Happy Wednesday to everyone! This week is zooming by and before you know we will lose a precious hour of crafting time this weekend...I think all of us papercrafters should protest or change that law, even figure out how to add a few extra hours where we would like them, just a thought. Thank you for listening to my rant...now on to my cards.  I have two cards today for 4 challenges. My first card is for this week's Muse challenge and also fits in with this week's Simon Says Stamp - A Bit O'Green and Dynamic Duo's too.  I tried something new and used white pigment ink (not sure I will do that again) but have to say that I love the way my card turned out. The flowers look so pretty with the white ink on the ripe avocado card stock.

This card is for this week's Moxie Fab World Challenge, using Washi Tape, this stuff is so much fun and the Disney themed stuff is my new favorite! I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend...today I have two cards for three different challenges. My first card is a Disney themed one for Retro Sketches. My daughter and sister will be heading to Southern California for spring break soon and they will be staying with some sweet friends of ours while on their trip. They plan to spend a day in Disneyland with them and I thought this would be the perfect thank you card to use to thank them for letting stay at their home.

My second card is for Merry Monday...this is a challenge blog for Christmas cards and this is my first time playing along. This week's theme is tic tac toe, you can play in any direction. I choose the left side going down for my card. This was another quick and easy card to make and I have one more card to add to my collection so when Christmas is here again I will be ready to go.  Both cards will be entered in this weeks Simon Says Stamps challenge, Anything Goes too. This is my first time playing with retrosketches.  I am in love with all of their sketches, even though they say retro, they just seem so fresh and clean, love that look.  I was playing with my cricut this afternoon and cut out a bunch of Mickey Mouse heads just for fun, really had no clue what I was going to do with them but you can never have too many Mickey heads, right? I can't believe how quickly with card went together too, just so much fun and festive too.  Thanks for taking a peek!

My Craft Room

I have to say I really LOVE my crafting space! It is my favorite room in the house and always makes me smile when I walk in...I am very blessed to have a room all to myself for my crafts, but occasionally make space for my husband while he is working on the crossword puzzles.

I am a major Disney/Mickey Mouse and I Love Lucy fan and as soon as you walk in you can figure that out. Most of the room, say 90% is Disney and rest is my Lucy corner. My husband was sweet enough to help me paint or should I say set up the laser level for the Mickey stripes (they had to be as perfect as I could get). My mom helped me decorate the walls, knowing just where to place everything. I do add new things and put old ones away at times. I have so much Disney/Mickey Mouse stuff, I just don't have enough room to display all of it and my craft supplies.

My desk is from Ikea, it's large enough for me to really spread out and since I'm the only using the room, I can just leave what ever I am working on out.

The white folding table is my cutting table.  I do a fair amount of sewing and both sides fold up and give me a very large space.  It also doubles as a space of extra supplies while working on projects.

Before I started making cards and found PTI, I scrapbooked and one of the book cases is filled wtih albums of our family from when I got married to Ashleigh graduating high school.  Seems like the older they get the less pictures are taken (I think that is because they are doing more with their friends rather than family). The second book case is filled with stamps, paper, Cricut, paper trimmers and all kinds of supplies for being creative.

Last photo...this is the door to my favorite spot in the house.  I made the Christmas wreath from McDonalds Happy Meal toys when Disneyland was celebrating it's 50th Anniversary.  Behind the door are all of my edge punches, love that they are all in one spot.
