Retro Sketches #73 and Little Tangles #17 - Into the Woods

Happy Tuesday...hope everyone is having a fabulous week! I have 2 cards to share today, one for RetroSketches and one for Little Tangles, this is my first time playing with Neat & Tangled.  I am also happy to say that both of my cards have one of more NBUS too.  So much fun pulling out the new goodies. My first card is for RetroSketches #73 and as soon as I saw this week's sketch I knew I needed to make a baseball card and crossed my fingers that no one else came up with the same idea.  Since I am a SF Giants fan I decided to go with their color scheme, black and orange.

My next card is for this week's Little Tangles - Into the Woods.  I only have a few of their stamps and we so happy to see that one of them was wood grain.  I decided to use it to make a tree and cut the branches using Lucy, but the tree looked a bit bare so I pulled out resting birds die from MB and that seemed to do the trick.  The background paper is from Pebbles, Walnut Grove, I loved the look of the banners strung up behind my tree.  Thank you so much for taking time to stop by to peek at my cards...have a wonderful week!

  1. These are both awesome. I am so far behind, that I hadn't even seen that retro sketches. But, when I looked at the sketch, I know why you made the card you did. So cute, and Go Giants. I'll bet you have a list of people who compete to get this card. And, your Little Tangles card is just so cute and perfect for the challenge. I love that tree you made, and you picked the perfect background patterned paper.

  2. Both are great cards Kim! Love the baseball card! Such a fun stamp set too! Your second card is just perfect for the into the woods. Perfect paper too!

  3. What fantastic cards. Your baseball card is pure genius for that sketch.

  4. Both amazing cards, your baseball themed RetroSketch is so fantastic! I see a winner here. Love how you used On the Strip for your tree, both brilliant!

  7. Grand Slam on your baseball card Kim - absolutely no doubt about it! Awesome interpretation of the sketch - sheer creative genius to see two crossed baseball bats! Love it :)

Love the cheery and woodsy "Hello" that your sweet blue birds are chirpping to the world! Another great interpretation beautifully captured in paper!
