The 12 Kits of Occasions - November 2013 Edition

Hoping everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving but now that it is behind us, Christmas will be here before you know it!  Less than a month to go...after making cards from Kelly's kit I will be ready to get my holiday cards in the mail. Kelly from Gingham Girls Adventures is our hostess this month, if you have not been to her blog, the link is here, you may want to grab a cup of hot cocoa while you browse. So many fabulous ingredients were in Kelly's kit and honestly there was enough to make a couple dozen cards, seriously!  I loved Kelly's kit, love the color black with all the red and green and the chalkboard look is amazing! Not only did she stamp these fabulous sentiments on black but they are also heat embossed, so much work and I love every piece of it.  Thank you Kelly for all that you have done.  Be sure to head over to The 12 Kits of Occasions to see all the amazing and festive cards that have been made from Kelly's kit. You can also see the list of the amazing supplies too. Thank you so much for taking time to stop by to peek at my cards....have a wonderful weekend!

Dynamic Duo's #80 - Triple Threat and Serendipity #24 - Gifts & Tags

Happy Monday...hope everyone is have a fabulous day. Today was the first day of my Thanksgiving break and I spent a good portion of the day be crafty, so much fun.  I have a set of gift tags and one card to share.  My tags are for the current challenge over at Serendipity, when I saw the tags that Marybeth made, you can see them here. I forgot that I had this amazing ornament die from Serendipity. I love all the wonderful detail on these and they cut so easily too.  I used PTI shimmer paper, I know it is hard to see in the photo but this paper is just beautiful.  I forgot that I had it and love the way it looks, need to pull it out more often.

My card is for this week's Dynamic Duo Triple Threat challenge...love that there are 3 colors this week and they all work so beautifully together.  I mean, who does not love the look of red, pink and green, it does not get much Christmasier than that.  My friend Joyce from Cards-by-the-Sea sent me the sweet little penguins some time ago and they are just so cute, they were very happy to hop out of the bin and on top of a card. I edged the snow banks and the penguins hats with clear Wink of Stella, I know it is hard to see in the photo but love the look it gives, just a touch of sparkle. Thank you so much for taking time to stop by to peek at my tags and card....wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving week!

Once again, Joyce the party planner extraordinaire is at it again. If you don't know Jeanne, grab a cup of hot cider and head over to her blog, A Kept Life, you may need a bib, you will be drooling! and a few treats to munch on too...

and a few cookies for those who do not care for cake.

I decided to go with a fall theme, Jeanne always does amazing things with these colors. Be sure to visit Jeanne's blog and leave her a little birthday love.

Waltzingmouse Pajama Party - November 2013

Before I get to the cards in my post today, I want to apologize for not leaving as many comments as I usually do, I have been subbing all week in Kindergarten and I will be honest, they have worn me out! They are about as cute as you can get but they just have so much energy, need to figure out a way to bottle it! Only one more day to go and then a week off for Thanksgiving break. I am planning on getting caught up this weekend, so thank you for your understanding.
Wow...can you believe in less than a week we will be celebrating Thanksgiving??? Where has November gone? Really, I have no clue!  The only reason I am playing along this month is because I planned ahead. So I will not keep you any longer, I have 2 cards and a tag to share for this months Waltzingmouse Pajama Party. Thank you so much for taking time to stop by to peek at my cards....have a great weekend!

My first card is for challenge 1 - Thank You card

Challenge 2 - Christmas and Interactive Card

I took about a dozen photos trying to get movement so you would be able to see the snowman move.

25 Days of Christmas Tags '13 with Tracey

Tracey McNeely was so sweet as invite me to play along for day 2 of her 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I know all of you know Tracey from In My Creative Opinion but just in case you have been living under a rock, here is the link to her amazing blog.  This is Tracey's 3rd year making tags so if you are short on inspiration for getting your holiday tags put together, grab a nice hot cup of cocoa (seems right for this time of year...not something I would drink so I would have a cup of tea or coffee) and browse her blog!
I have always loved the look of Santa's suit so I decided to fashion my tag after one.  I used Tag Sale #5 for my tag and had to come up with a way to make the white fur that goes down the center of Santa's suit a bit fluffy...so I pulled out some shimmer card stock that has been floating around for months unused to give it a smidge of sparkle and shine (I know it is hard to see in my photo) and for the fluffy, I cut strip from loop-de-loop.  Thank you so much for taking time to stop by to peek at my tag and Tracey, thank you again for asking me to play along...this was so much fun!

One card for Monday...

Happy Monday...today has been a fabulous day so far. I met up with Darnell and Harriet for lunch, and once home I decided to bake a batch of cinnamon chip scones, now talk about an amazing aroma! They just came out of the oven and I can't wait for them to cool off enough to give one of them a try.  I love this time of year, the baking, the smells, the coolness in the air and a good sappy Christmas movie or two while crafting. My card today is for the current challenge #23 over at Serendipity Stamps and the theme is to use your scraps and I know we all have lots and lots of those. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by to peek at my card....wishing all the Veteran's a wonderful day and thank you for all that you have done to make our country a safe and free place to live.
