Happy New Year! Can you believe it is January 2016!!!! Wow, last year seems to fly by in my opinion. Wishing everyone a wonderful New Year and hoping it is a crafty one too.
Kylie has changed things up a bit at Happy Little Stampers Challenge Blog and the old Sketch challenge is now a CASE challenge and each month a different designer will be featured. January features Kylie and her card is simply amazing! Smooshing is something I have tried and not been too successful at....that is until I went over to Darnell's for a craft day with her and Harriet, the week of Christmas. We had a blast, so much fun that we even forgot to snap a quick photo. She showed me how to smoosh and oh my....it was so cool, so easy and so incredible. Just a coincidence that the smooshing we did was perfect for this challenge so I set it aside to use for my card. I hope you will find the time to play along!
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by....enjoy your holiday weekend!

Happy New Year!!!!! Baseball is inching ever closer! YAY!!!! Go Cubs, Go Giants!!!! (sorry) Can't wait for the season to start, can you tell?! I've admired smooshing, but haven't even come close to mastering the technique as of yet, but after seeing this beauty, I'm going to give it another shot. Beautiful colors, and that butterfly just pops against them. Love this. And miss you! xo Bev

ReplyDeleteOooooo, so pretty, Kim. I love the pink and orange together. You are friends with Darnell?! I'm looking forward to meeting her this coming July! :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you've discovered how fun smooshing can be!! Took me a while to get over the loss of control over where the colours go but kind of nice to get messy for once. Your background is gorgeous and love the simple black butterfly over top. And lovely to be on a DT with you!!!
ReplyDeleteCan I come over for some smooshing lessons, please? No matter how many times I've tried, the results are epic failures...sighhh! Maybe, just maybe, I'll try once more so I can case Kylie's gorgeous card. Yours: sooo pretty! I think you've aced the smooshing!
